We aim to play a major role in expanding the distribution network of electrical energy by designing and manufacturing of pole and ground mounted distribution transformers with power ratings ranging from 16KVA up to 2.5MVA.


Our transformers, covering medium and low voltage applications, are designed to meet the diverse distribution needs of commercial, industrial and private clients. All designs and manufacturing processes are done in accordance with strict quality assurance measures to meet the international industry standards of distribution transformers IEC 60076/SANS 780.


With the aging infrastructure on the power grid, a call for refurbishment and maintenance of existing transformers is necessary and in demand, especially for transformers in the mining sector and decommissioned transformers from the grid on municipality level, and this presented an opportunity for Wiselights Trading 15cc to attend to thee challenges by being more holistic in service provision and customer service approach.

Transformer Assessment & Repair

We do specialized maintenance, diagnostics, and restoration services designed to keep electrical power transformers operating safely, efficiently, and reliably, ultimately extending their lifespan and preventing costly, unplanned downtime. This process involves a systematic approach to identifying, fixing, or refurbishing critical components like coils, insulation and insulating oil.
oil Testing & Sampling
We do critical proactive maintenance process, often similar to blood testing, where small oil samples are collected from machinery and analyzed for contamination, wear debris, and fluid health. This diagnostic process allows for the identification of early-stage equipment failures, reduction of unexpected downtime, and optimization of lubricant life.
Oil Purification
We engage in process of removing contaminants - such as water, solid particles, gases, and sludge - from lubricants, hydraulic fluids, or fuels to restore their lubricating properties and extend their life service life.

This process enhances machine efficiency, reduces waste, and prevents premature equipment failure caused by oxidation or contamination.

Transformer routine Testing

We do mandatory, standardized electrical and mechanical tests performed on every single unit of a manufactured transformer before shipment. We perform these tests under regulation standards of IEC 60076 to ensure the until is safe, free from defects, and operates according to design specifications. These serve as critical quality control to verify insulation integrity, winding accuracy, and operational reliability.
Transformer Designs & Manufacturing
Our manufacturing processes adhere to the highest standards of quality control, ensuring that each transformer is built to last and perform reliably under various operational conditions.

Our design processes involve creating custom specifications for magnetic cores and coils, followed by assembling these items, installing insulating materials, and placing them into protective tanks. This process ensures voltage regulation for specific power.

Design & Distribution Kiosk Manufacturing
Wiselights Trading focuses on sustainable manufacturing practices, minimizing environmental impact while delivering innovative low voltage kiosk solutions that contribute to a greener future.

We do end-to-end process of engineering, fabricating, and assembling durable, usually metallic, standalone enclosures that house equipment for their commercial/interactive, self-service applications or electrical distribution infrastructure.

Electrical Stabilizer design & Manufacturing

We do engineering, development, and production of electrical stabilizer boxes designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level to electrical loads, regardless of fluctuations in the output power supply. These devices, often called Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) or Voltage Stabilizers, protect sensitive equipment l(like ACs, computers, and medical tools) from damage caused by under-voltage or over-voltage conditions.
Pole Mounted Transformer
Our distribution transformers in voltage classes of 6.6kV, 22kV, 33kV, which are type-tested and routine tested in accordance with IEC 60076 standards to guarantee to guarantee quality and performance.

These transformers are generally compact cost-effective, and designed for outdoor installations, making them ideal for areas with lower population density where ground-mounted substations may not be economical, with usable voltage suitable for residential, commercial and industrial consumers, typically 16-100kVA, 6.6-33kVA.

100 KVA TRANSFORMER DELIVERY AND REPAIR - LAINGSBURG MUNICIPALITY

Our team successfully executed a project involving the delivery and commissioning of a 100kVA, 11kV/420V transformer to Laingsburg Municipality. The transformer was transported safely from our Bloemfontein facility to the Municipality, meeting all logistical and technical requirements.

Through careful planning, coordination, and execution, the project was completed on time and to specification, demonstrating  the team's capability in handling medium-voltage transformer projects. This successful delivery strengthened our relationship with the municipality and demonstrated our reliability and professionalism.

Following this, Laingsburg Municipality entrusted us with a 100kVA, 11kV/420V transformer for repair, which our team completed successfully. This repair reinforced our reputation for technical expertise, quality workmanship, and commitment to customer satisfaction and outcomes are as follows:
